Zesty Tuna Ceviche
This is a cold appetizer recipe and it is nice served very cold. Ceviche is a good appetizer recipe to serve if you are having a sit-down dinner because it is not a good idea to leave raw fish lying around in a warm room or an outside party. This is a colorful and flavorful dish and you can serve it alone or with some crackers or bread on the side.Tuna ceviche Ingredients
- 1 lb yellow fin tuna, in ½ inch cubes
- Juice from 2 passion fruits
- 1 mango, peeled and diced
- ½ cup mango nectar
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
- ¼ cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- ½ teaspoon chili pepper puree
- ½ avocado, in 4 lengthwise wedges
- ½ sliced lime, for garnish
Tangy Tuna Ceviche Preparation
- Puree the garlic, ginger, pepper puree and lime juice in a blender, then transfer this mixture to a mixing bowl.
- Stir in the cilantro.
- Add the passion fruit juice, mango nectar, onion and mango pieces, as well as the tuna.
- Leave the ceviche for 2 hours, for the flavors to blend.
- Serve chilled, garnished with the lime slices and avocado wedges.
