- ¼ cup lime juice
- 2 shallots
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons sambal
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- Kaffir lime leaves, for garnish
Kecap Manis Preparation
- Dice the shallots and cut the kaffir lime leaves into strips.
- Combine everything except the lime leaves in a small pan over a low heat and stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Scatter the lime leaves on top for a garnish.
- You can serve this dipping sauce warm or chilled.
