  7. 1 Anaheim green chili, seeded and chopped

  9. 1 jalapeño, de-veined and seeded (optional)
  10. Salt
  11. Black pepper
  12. Scoop chips
  13. Cilantro leaves and halved cherry tomatoes for garnish

Homemade Salsa Preparation

  1. Peel and seed the tomatoes, then char them under the flame of a hot broiler or over a gas grill for a few seconds, turning until the peel starts to blister.
  2. Remove the peel and the green stem core.
  3. Chop the tomatoes in half vertically and scoop out the seeds with a spoon.
  4. Add the garlic to a food processor, then the cilantro, green onions and finally the jalapeños for a few seconds. Switch the food processor off and scrape the sides down with a spatula.
  5. Add everything else and process with brief pulses.
  6. Season to taste, chill for an hour, then put a spoonful of salsa in each scoop chip and garnish each one with half a cherry tomato and a cilantro leaf. Serve right away.
